The activity itself was amazing. The balloon ride started at 07:00, with an early pick-up at 05:15 am. Once on-site, the pre-dawn atmosphere added to the excitement. After a clear safety briefing, we enjoyed a wonderful flight with panoramic views of the sunrise over the Atlas Mountains and Marrakech hills. The pilot was highly professional and attentive, and the Berber breakfast afterward was delicious.

Loved the flight and Sancho was amazing pilot, you can feel he is truly happy to do what he does, but didn’t understand why the pick up was at 5am, we were brought to the tent in the desert with coffee and then waiting for everyone for 2 hours, I feel like it could be organized a bit differently but the experience was absolutely worth it.

I must commend the excellent customer service we received, particularly from our driver (whose name I sadly cannot remember). My husband dropped his phone in the car, and our driver brought it all the way back to our accommodation the next day at no extra cost! The breakfast and refreshments were great! This is one of the most incredible experiences that I have ever done in my life! It really was magical and a once in a lifetime moment! The whole team behind our trip was incredible- our driver Abdul was great and looked after us. You get to the venue very early and are offered drinks and pastries, there’s little fires to keep you warm because it’s chilly in the desert before sunrise. Then you go to your balloon- the whole process is seamless which was very reassuring! Our pilot was a lady and she was super cool and friendly! We were up in the air ready for the sunrise and it was so magical! You come down and then it’s time for breakfast- we initially thought it was the pastries but no, it’s a proper breakfast!! Everything was fresh and clean!! This trip was amazing and super great value!!! Everyone should try this trip!!! 🥰

Incredible experience overall, once in a lifetime being in the hot air balloon. Arrived at site roughly 8am, so saw many balloons in the sky already, which was beautiful , however I do wish I was up in the air at that time also (maybe I booked the wrong one tbf) but still stunning from the ground. Then the hot air balloon ride itself was fun, definitely recommend. Pilot was Neda (?) , and he brought the laughs and good vibes. Breakfast was also good. Great experience all round!

The ballon flight activity was excellent. The young captain Noor for our ride made it more interesting and enjoyable. She interacted with the whole group throughout the ride, explained the process, put on nice music and took photos. Our transportation was also very good. Our 19 year old young driver Mohammed did his job brilliantly. Very pleasant in behaviour and skilled in his work. The car windscreen and dashboard could be kept clean and dust free to improve the service. I will recommend this service. Good value.

Amazing Flight but Confusing Start

The activity itself was amazing, the balloon ride itself starts at 07:00 so pick up can be much earlier depending on where you are staying. My pick up was at 05:15 am. Then a drive with 4 other participants. Not much information was given on arrival, we were directed to a large tent, where hot drinks and juices were available. No formal greeting or explanation of what was going to happen. Just before departure to the Balloon site we were all called forward to go and only then realised that we had to locate our original driver, that was messy in the pre dawn light. We were then driven to site straight to our designated balloon, given a safety briefing and information before take off which was excellent and clear. Followed by a wonderful flight with panoramic views of the sunrise over the Atlas Mountains and a view of the two hills of Marrakech. The pilot was very professional and attentive. The landing was sort and the return Berber breakfast was wonderful and enjoyable.

We flew with our two year old daughter and Marrakech by Air is one of the few tour companies that allows children below 4 to fly. Incredible! Our Pilot – Luna? (Sorry I haven forgotten her name 🤦🏻♀️) but she was fantastic. So welcoming and humorous. She gave us some facts while we were up in the air pointing out Marrakesh’s tallest mosque, what mountains were which, how high we were etc. To watch the sunrise from the air was something I will never forget. I did this with my 7 year old daughter and always felt safe the whole time and she absolutely loved every second. Our driver was fab too. There is some waiting between being dropped off for your first breakfast and getting into the balloon so if taking children take iPads or some form of entertainment as it is around 40/50 mins waiting but it’s well worth it! Would highly recommend this activity.

The excursion was great, picked up on time from our reception hotel, journey was around 30mins to the location. Morning coffee, hot chocolate and pastry was delicious. We had to wait around 30 mins which was chilly so bring a jumper or blanket. The take off and landing were smooth and our pilot Yanis was great! The balloon flight and our pilot were fantastic! However, I do want to mention that we were expecting to see the sunrise, but since we arrived around 8 AM, the sun was already up, and we had to wait for the balloon to land before our turn. Also, be aware that you’ll be sharing the balloon with at least 10 other people – we weren’t aware beforehand that so many passengers would be on the same flight.

A full view of the other balloons, the sunrise, and the Atlas mountains is a must see! Our pilot Lena was phenomenal, and a fantastic photographer as well. The breakfast was nice, we got a chance to meet some of the other tourists, and share a laugh. Transportation was timely and comfortable. Overall, a 10/10 experience. Would definitely recommend!

We had an amazing flight on the hot air balloon. Our driver was Sancho GG who was a fantastic pilot and made us all feel at ease! Very smooth takeoff and landing. Then we had a delicious breakfast.
Unforgettable but Too Early Pickup

Overall, it was an unforgettable experience. The only negative aspect was the fact that we were picked up at 4.40 and once we arrived at the camp side, we had to wait for more than an hour and half to be taken to the balloons, therefor it seemed weird why we were picked up so early.

Absolutely amazing experience highly recommended. Breathtaking views and definitely worth the 5am pick up from Hotel to see the sunrise over the Atlas Mountains. Cpt Noor was a lovely lady and made sure everyone had the best flight, playing music and taking pictures for everyone. One to remember!

The activity was great. Pickup was on time. We had a pre-breakfast (pastry and coffee) before heading out to the balloon flight. The pilot was nice. Gave us some information to understand how it all works. The Berber breakfast after the flight was really good. Very filling. Would recommend.

One of the most breathtaking experiences ever. Everyone was so friendly, it went smoothly from the pick up to the balloon and the breakfast at the end. We were picked up close to our hotel, our driver was very friendly, we drove to the place with a great view of the balloons in the air just before sunrise, then drove to our balloon when the sun appeared. Our pilot was Mustafa and he made us feel comfortable, explained everything and made sure we enjoyed it. The traditional breakfast was an experience as well!
