  1. Welcoming & Authentic Tour

    chastinne

We didn’t know the tour was private. Mahmoud was welcoming and accommodating. The places he showed us were beautiful and great value for money. Fresh orange juice in the Atlas Mountains was delicious. The Berber lunch was lovely and the chicken tagine was one of the best we tasted. We will contact Mahmoud again next time we’re in Morocco.

  2. Outstanding Experience

    alessandro

This is one of the best experiences you can book. Mahmoud was our tour guide and he is simply AMAZING — a real Berber who shows you the authentic, non-touristic treasures of the region. Pickup was perfectly organized. Lunch in a Berber house was enlightening. The landscape, Ait Ben Haddou, and the mountains were stunning. Mahmoud is the added value of this trip. We will keep in touch with him — truly a fantastic person.

  3. Great Tour with Excellent Guide

    david

Great day with our guide Ali and driver Yasine. It’s a long day but worth it. We stopped several times for pictures and even bought figs from kids in the mountains. Lunch at a local home was delicious. Ali made sure everyone was well taken care of. We even met a lovely couple on the trip and had dinner with them later in Marrakech. Do this trip!

  4. Amazing Day Out

    miyu

The drive was very different from Marrakech and made for a wonderful day out. We enjoyed the cinematic mountain views, and our guide Mahmoud was fantastic — entertaining, helpful, and very informative!

    dieter

We had a wonderful day trip with our driver-guide Reda, who gave us a lot of interesting facts about history and the people of the region. With several stops along the way, the tour didn’t feel long at all. Ait Benhaddou is spectacular and a must-see. We also enjoyed lunch at a Berber house. The return route showed even more incredible landscapes. Highly recommended.

  8. Worth the Long Trip

    andrewA

Our guide was great. Spoke English well. Pickup was later than expected but he drove very well. The twisty roads of the High Atlas Mountains were very cool. We enjoyed stopping to buy geodes at Berber villages and loved seeing all the cats at the stops. A long day, but Ait Benhaddou was definitely worth it.

From the beginning, Reda was a great guide — pleasant, punctual, and always available. He drove safely and made stops whenever needed. Although the route was long, everything was relaxed. The Atlas Mountains were outstanding, and the Berber family cooked a special vegetarian meal for us — incredibly tasty. Highly recommended.

Reda was a pleasure to have as a guide. He has a sense of humor, and a lot of knowledge about the area, the culture, and the Atlas Mountains. He timed the stops perfectly so we could avoid crowds. Lunch at a family home was amazing — fresh chicken tagine, vegetables, and incredible bread. Reda was attentive, kind, and a safe driver. This was a memorable experience. Highly recommended.

  14. Beautiful and Authentic Day Trip

    lashunda

This was a great tour and day trip. The Ait Benhaddou village is beautiful, the landscape and views are nice. The hike up and down offers many options to buy souvenirs and great art. There is a short water crossing where you balance over rocks to get to the other side… a small group of kids help you, but they expect a tip. I loved this day trip, especially because it ended up being private. Our driver was great and made many photo stops. One of the best day trips!

  15. Great Experience!

  17. Wonderful Day in Atlas Mountains

    patricia

A very nice day out of Marrakesh in the Atlas mountains, in what turned out to be a private tour. Mahmoud, our guide, made the trip a very relaxing and fun day. It is a long day in a car but we did not feel it, lots of stops and fantastic views. The lunch in the Berber house was very good and gave a little peek into the local way of living. I recommend this tour.

We had a fantastic day, thanks to our driver (and tour guide) Mohamed. It was a long day but we really enjoyed driving through small villages, admiring the spectacular Atlas Mountains and beautiful valleys, and of course visiting Ait Ben Haddou. Lunch at “Chez L’Habitant Tamdakht” was an authentic experience. The host and the food were just perfect. We would highly recommend this tour!

The road through the mountains was winding but full of amazing views. We stopped several times for photos and mint tea in small villages. Ait Benhaddou itself was beautiful and full of history. Wear comfortable shoes — there’s a bit of climbing, but the view from the top is worth it!
